Mossy SpiderwebsDescription: Silver Falls State Park in Western Oregon, USA, is full of lovely mossy trees and rocks, but it is usually difficult to get close enough to examine in detail the miniature plants that seem to encrust everything like a fuzzy green glove. Luckily, I come upon a mossy stump that is just the right height for my tripod. With the help of a macro lens, I’m able to enter and explore this Lilliputian land. When I get the film back, I’m disappointed -- it looks like the leaves of some large plant, not the tiny world I had experienced! But a single Douglass Fir needle volunteers to help the dew–dropped spiderwebs restore a sense of scale. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
